MILLER PARK
Hours of Operation:
6:00am-10:00pm (Unless special permission is granted)
Miller Park
is a public park that covers over 80 acres.
The creation of the park was made possible through the
generous donations of both funds and land.
The Village received its first deed to part of the park in
1972, and the park continued expanding until it reached its current
size in 2009. Citizens
and organizations who have greatly contributed to the formation of
the park include Charles A. Miller, James & Florence Laubach,
William & Maxine Ford, Lewis A. Brown, the Edgerton Rotary Club, the
Edgerton Chamber of Commerce, and the Edgerton Village Council.
The park is overseen by the Park Board Trustees, currently
Cindy Kurtz, Camie Hicks, Nick Hug, Robert Siebenaler.
Over the years, Miller Park has gained such amenities as an open-air
pavilion with picnic tables, an open-air gazebo, and an enclosed
shelter house that can be rented for receptions, meetings, reunions,
and parties. For rental
policies, click here.
The park has one full-length and fully lit basketball court
with four
baskets, three tennis courts, and three adult co-ed
regulation-sized softball fields.
One of the fields is equipped with a full concession stand
with clean restroom facilities and a press box/media center with a
fully lit field.
Also available to the public is a sand volleyball court, a nature
trail, a driving/chipping hill for golfers, horse shoe pits, and a
sledding hill for the winter.
Miller Pond
provides a dock for fishing, as well as access for non-motorized
boats. Fishing is on a
catch-and-release policy only.
No fishing license is required to fish in the pond.
Swimming is strictly prohibited at the pond. The park also
boasts a truck/tractor pull track facility with ample parking.
Additionally, children can enjoy “Munchkin Junction,” a
well-maintained playground area.
Miller Park also provides opportunities for the community to be
involved. The Park Board
Trustees have a Memorial Tree
Planting Program that offers individuals and organizations the
chance to plant a memory tree.
