Fiscal Officer Update by Denise Knecht:

  • New Business: The Hicksville Bank Depository Agreement of Public Funds is expiring on 06/30/2025. We have begun working with the Hicksville Bank to get the necessary paperwork so that Mr Rothenbuehler has an opportunity to review the documents before we bring it to Council for consideration. Just letting you know this is on our radar.

TC Energy: We received grant funding in the amount of $14,800 from the 2025 TC Energy Build Strong Grant for hazardous condition monitoring. This is for the two 5-gas meters, testing and calibration system for the 5-gas and our existing 4-gas meters for the Fire Department. In the past two years we have been fortunate enough to be awarded $26,400.00 in grant funding from TC Energy.

Mayor Day reminded all that Main Street Edgerton is holding a Community Easter Egg Hunt at Parkview Care Center this Saturday at 1:30pm; ages up to 12 years old.

Memorial Tree for Levi Hess: On Arbor Day, Friday, April 25th @ 10am a memorial dedication tree will be planted on the tree lawn at the home of Levi Hess, located at the corner of Elm St and Clarksville Rd. The schools will be involved. The community is invited to attend.

Reminder: There will be a Spring Health Fair located at Town Hall in the training room on Thursday and Friday, April 24th & 25th, from 6-10AM. Parkview Care Center is providing refreshments.

Council Member Wallace announced that we are in the top 15 in our region for tree planting with Tree City USA. The goal is to continue planting and hopefully achieve the tree growth award. This is our 37th year of participation in Tree City USA.
