Council Discussion:
Council members were reminded of the AMP Public Power Certification program for elected officials, with registration available through Brian Hickman.
Public Records training for those in need must be completed by May 1st.
Sharon Blinzler shared report of a citizen that expressed extreme satisfaction with the electric department’s responsiveness, dedication and quality of work. Brian Bowsher commended the Electric Department for the proactive job done trimming trees, no tree damage during the high winds last weekend. Chuck Wallace added tree trimming was a worthwhile investment, particularly as neighboring communities have experienced issues with fallen trees during unfavorable weather events.
Gruver asked if there was an update on Community Center? Fitzcharles indicated it seems to be ahead of schedule, but the completion date is still June 30th. Paid event lease agreements anticipated to begin August 1st.
