Rebecca Miller- Bryan Area Christian Prayer breakfast Committee: September 24th represents the 49th annual meeting of the “Day of Prayer Breakfast.” This event will be held at Wesley United Church in Bryan, Ohio from 8:30am-9:30am. At 10am the program will begin with Jack Brace as the guest speaker and music by Joe Rath. Tickets are $8/each.
Mayor Update by Robert Day:
- Homecoming this weekend with event changes – car show, parade, fun for kids, concert
- Cat program – 1st transport to Humane Society completed and returned today; still looking for volunteers
Administrator Update by Dawn Fitzcharles:
- Oak St rehab project 7/17; contract is being worked through with County Commissioners; notice will be sent to those impacted which will include information such as contractor (M & M Asphalt), work times (7:30-5pm M-F), and there will be no impact to trash service or mail; goal is to be completed before start of school 8/17
- Edgerton Metals Brownfield Project- on target for June 30, 2025; ground water sampling plan for property; landscape architect and community survey
- Water Towers – 1 year inspection completed & should have report in next 2 weeks
- WTP Project- plant components, reuse generator; project out to bid by year end
- Homecoming Parade- line up at 10am Saturday, starts at 11am
Fiscal Officer Update by Denise Knecht:
- Credit Card review 6/16-7/15
- June 2024 financials – sign off on email
- 2022/2023 biannual audit completed and certified for release on 07/09/2024- info available on website
- Fraud policy – 7 min video to be completed by all employees and elected officials
Police Chief Update by Ken Jacob:
- Ashlyn Figy – shift to be filled EOM
- Durango currently in shop being decaled at Dietsch’s
- Harding and Krill completed fire arms training and received certification
Employee status change: Kyle Esckilsen eligible for removal from 6-month probationary period. Kyle was hired September of 2023 and is always willing to pick up shifts when he is available.

ODD Brownfield payment: We need to accept the revenue from the ODD and issue the payment invoice to August Mack for the Edgerton Metals Brownfield remediation project. We receive reports and invoices, submit to ODD, ODD signs off on transaction and sends the money, we then remit payment to August Mack.
- Motion to approve revenue receipt from Ohio Department of Development and issue payment for invoice #81703 to August Mack Environmental in the amount of $72,866.88 for the Edgerton Metals Brownfield Remediation Project (Edgerton Revitalization DEV-2022-193553) for project invoices through June 9, 2024:
