Mayor Day presented Heart Saver Hero Award from the American Heart Association to CJ Coburn

CJ Coburn was at the right place at the right time in the summer of 2021. CJ and Ashleigh Coburn were visiting the campground with their family. He was a bystander to a near drowning of a small child at Blackbeard’s Bay Waterpark in Edgerton Ohio. CJ, along with a nurse and another first responder, removed the girl from the pool and worked to save the girl. Because of his quick actions and selfless service, we would like to recognize CJ and his contribution to saving the child. The child is expected to make a full recovery.
